McAnuff - We fear no body in Premier League challenge

Reading captain Jobi McAnuff has said his side fear nobody ahead of the Royals' Premier League return.
The Berkshire club open their campaign at home to Stoke City on Saturday, and McAnuff is relishing the challenge of taking on England’s top teams on a regular basis.

“Growing up as a kid the aim is to get into the Premier League,” he told the club’s official website.
McAnuff relishing Reading EPL Title“We’ve got as much right to be here as anyone else, it’s a great chance to go and show that to everybody.

“These are exciting times – we want to embrace it, we can’t wait to go out there and give it a good crack.
“We’ve been flying about in training and looking sharp – we’ve had a good pre-season and we’re ready to crack on this Saturday.

“Our ambitions go as far as wining the next game – that’s been our motto over the last couple of years and it’s something we’re keen to stick to.

“We want to do as well as we can, there’s no fear – of course we respect the great talent and clubs that are in this league but we’re going to go out to win every game.”

McAnuff has also praised the new signings brought in by manager Brian McDermott, who recently spoke of his satisfaction at how the club’s squad has shaped up during the summer.

He added: “Everyone we’ve brought in has been a great addition, and they’re settling in well.

“We’ve got Pavel up front – he’s a big lad, with a great touch and a great eye for goal.

“Just like the rest of them he’s fitted into the ethos at the club and the way we play – which is imperative.”
