The Principal of the schools, Malam Saidu Ahmed, who disclosed this to LEADERSHIP, during the school’s 9th speech and prize giving day said such would have been impossible if is not the personal commitment of the management and staff of the institution.
While giving analysis of the result, Ahmed said the school got 86.70 per cent for credits and distinctions (A’s and C’s), 12.73 per cent passes and only 0.57 per cent failures.
Speaking on the significance of the speech and prize giving day, the principal stressed, “This is significant because those who are graduating from both the senior and junior classes will be awarded presents. Also those who perform excellently in each of the subjects, from all the levels and the overall best student for the term will also be given a gift.
“This is to encourage handwork and dedication among the students who mostly are successful after leaving the school.”
Speaking further, the principal commended the proprietor of the school, the Director General of the State Security Service (SSS) Ita Ekpeyong for ensuring the welfare of the teachers, which resulted in the students coming out with excellent results in their studies.
The head girl of the school, Lenora Dieyi-Awele, told reporters that though she was happy to be graduating, yet she would miss the school and its conducive environment for learning.
Dieyi-Awele who said she would like to become an Engineer urged other students behind to take their studies seriously to come out in flying colours.
