Position: OVC MANAGER  Location: Abuja Has the overall responsibility for effective planning and successful implementation of CiSHAN’s OVC program’s and project’s as well as all activities related to Care and Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children including partnership building and coordination services of CiSHAN. Main Responsibilities Direct and manage the development of SR project work plans and budget for OVC component of CiSHAN- GF Round 9 Project. Ensure proper planning, execution and reporting on CiSHAN-GF grants activities according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes providing technical assistance and coordinating the efforts of team members and IPs. Actively participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings relating to OVC. Effectively communicate on all technical project implementation plans and expectations to team members and SRs in a timely and clear fashion. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate Program Officers within the OVC implementation processes. Track project milestones and deliverables as well as follow up SRs on project deliverables. Ensure submission of proper frequency and content of status reports on OVC from the project team and SRs, analyzes of results, and troubleshoot problem areas. Define OVC Program project success criteria and disseminate them to all relevant stakeholders throughout project life cycle. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise OVC project team members and SRs and to influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. To receive, review and submit work plans, budgets and disbursement request from SRs to Project Coordinator and finance  Manager for processing before approval by Executive Chairman Monitor and evaluate progress of SRs work in the field by undertaking periodic visits to program sites within the states, To develop and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports on OVC programme and Project to the Programs Coordinator, CMC and Project Director Executive/Chairman To coordinate partnership building and coordination services of CiSHAN. Carry out any other duties assigned by the Project Director and Executive Chairman Qualifications First degree in health sciences, public health and health economics. Higher qualification in the social or health sciences or a related development sector Professional qualification in public health, child and maternal care. 15 years’ experience in the design, management, training and delivery of OVC services (social and/or health services) in Nigeria Cross cultural sensitivity and excellent knowledge of OVC. Experience in report writing, financial reports including planning, managing and budgeting projects. Effective communicator with ability to communicate organization’s direction and ability to motivate others with strong, honest leadership Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel Previous experience in managing a Global Fund project, working with OVC will be an added advantage.
